need info. we have a 45000 gallon pool in our neighborhood. someone left chlorinater on full when opening pool and now it is at a high level. Took over pesonsibilities and need help. chlorine is way over the 3.0 on test kit. how do i bring it down. I shut off the chlorinater for right know. Water is still cloudy. Do you have to have ph and alkalinity levels right and not worry about chlorine level at this time. Any help would be great

If the water is cloudy then you need the chlorine levels to be high. They need to be at shock level until the water clears up. Once the water clears up sunlight will burn off the chlorine.
