Cloudy water and Slidate

Postby swimjon » Sat 19 Jul, 2008 07:56

I have an 18' above ground pool and am using sildate for the first time. I am experiencing cloudy water. My PH and Alk are in the good range. The pool water has been at around 80 to 86 degrees of late and I know thats part of it. I can't seem to sustain a good level of energizer. I've put over 5 lbs. in the past 3 days and it atill doesn't show on the test strip. I go to my local pool dealer and he says that sildate does not make a stabilizing product. "NOW YOU TELL ME" in mid season.

I have look on the internet and real information on sildate is ellusive.

Can anyone tell me if there is a stabilizer for the energizer for sildate or how I can maintain that level?

Thank you for your efforts
