Salt levels in pool high

Postby Wingz101 » Thu 17 May, 2012 02:42

Just hit a disastrous situation. A mistake in testing the water has led to too much salt being dumped into my pool. The salt is at a ridiculous 8000ppm. Is the only solution to empty the pool gradually and refill until the levels return to normal?

Is there any way to take salt out through chemical balancing or other miracles of science?

The only way to reduce the salt level is through water dilution -- multiple partial drain/refill or, less efficiently, continuous dilution.
