Swimming Pool Paint

Postby Haleneonu » Tue 19 Nov, 2019 09:53

What works for a Cement pool? I recall a threat somewhere that mentioned the paint they use for the white stripes on the roads, but cant seem to find anything with the search function (anyone assist with the link)
1. Is that paint suitable for cement pools or was it only for fibreglass pools?
2. Apply direct or first plaster primer on raw sections?
3. Suitable to paint over old masonary paint?
4. Any better solutions out there that wont cost an arm & a leg? (epoxy cost?)
5. Fibreglass perhaps the best permanent solution

Saw the road paint go for =/-R400 p5L at the hardware shop, they also had some blue fishpond paint at R1200 p5L and i think the masonary paint was R600-700 p5L.
Probably need 40L for at least 2 coats and trying to postpone the fibreglass route for another 3-4years if my finance minister alloes...

What do you suggest?
