I WANT TO USE THE BBB METHOD. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO FIRST. NO REAL ALGAE PROBLEM, JUST MILD DEBRIS THAT GOT UNDER TEH TOP OVER THE WINTER. CURRENTLY RUNNING THE FILTER(HAYWORD 300LB SAND FILTER) AND POLARIS TO CLEAN UP. WHAT DO I NEED TO ADD AND IN WHAT ORDER. THANKS FOR ANY HELP IN ADVANCED....THIS SITE ROCKS..
HERE ARE MY NUMBERS..I WANT TO USE THE BBB SYSTEM
Not tryin to be rude but can ya hit the caps button?
TIA
As far as using the BBB method, your numbers look pretty good. I'd start by adding bleach. Bring it to shock level for 24 hours running pump for first few days and then maintain FC at 5 ppm and run pump atleast 8 hours a day, checking FC and PH daily, then add bleach and borax accordingly.
The bleach will make your pH rise a bit but it should come down as the chlorine diapates.
TIA
