i need help! my pool is green. i have 27 around and 52 deep. holds 19,000 gal i believe. i have heyward sand filter.
tc=0
ph=8.4
ta=40
ca=15-20
i am trying to use bleach, boric acid, and baking soda to get it clean
i normally use super pool shock powder and chlorine tabs.
somebody please help me!!!!!

i did read that. the water is beginning to look better. all of my tests are looking better also but my ph seems to still be too high. how do i get the ph lowered?

The pH test won't be accurate when there is a lot of chlorine in the water and it usually reads falsely high in that situation. If you are pretty sure that the pH was high even before you added chlorine, then you can use Muriatic Acid or dry acid to lower it. Use The Pool Calculator to calculate dosing and add about half of what it recommends just to prevent overshooting, then retest after at least 30 minutes (with circulation) and add more as needed.
