Pool Tile Grout for Mosaic on Bottom

Postby deedee209 » Sun 24 Mar, 2013 18:34

We are replastering our pool and adding a mosaic design on the bottom. What kind of grout do I need to use? I have been told that I can use regular sanded grout.

Best results will give you regular plaster that the pool will be getting. You will make it easy on the plaster crew and you will have a perfect transition highlighting the mosaic unless you plastering with grey. Leave deep space notch between the tiles to accommodate sufficient amount to cure and hold. Normally 3/16 will suffice. Otherwise plaster crew will have to clean any white plaster of the existing grout that will get there at any rate. It is very hard to clean hardened grout of the plaster. Any remnants will show quite clearly later! I speak from experience.
