Good evening,
New to the board and a bit desperate and freaking out.
We have a "Royal Pool" that was built in 1971. With the epic rain we experienced here in So Cal these past few days, our kidney shaped pool became more of an infinity pool of mud.
While finally trying to tackle it this evening I noticed that our coping around the pool has sank about 2 inches and separated from the foundation of the property.
I'm freaking out that this could be the start of a sink hole. Due to the storms, several cracks did appear, and water seeped into the ground underneath the pool.
Am I just being paranoid or am I in serious trouble?
Thanks so much,
John Mooney

Doesn't sound good at all. If enough water gets under the pool and the ground is starting to subside then the pool may sink or begin to lean.
Perhaps some pictures would help us understand the extent of the problem.

Thanks for responding, picture doesn't really show the magnitude, also, a large crack has started going from the area directly to house
