Ascorbic acid to lower bromine

Postby Hot Tub » Sun 09 Jan, 2011 19:08

I use bromine in my hot tub. My pool guy tells me that I should use ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate to lower the bromine if necessary instead of the chlorine neutralizer sold at the pool store. Is it a good idea?
