Hi,
A quick bit of background.
I'm a fairly new pool owner - and candidly not vey knowledgable. We retained the exisiting "pool guy" who does a good job with the condition of the water, but speaks limited English, so communication is a challenge.
I'm in San Jose, electicity costs are pretty high, and so I'm thinking about swapping the current, fully functional single speed pump, for a varaible speed alternative. I'm looking at the Jandy e-pump. Our existing single speed is also a Jandy.
I was curious whether this is something that I can take on myself - I'm moderately handy - or whether it needs some sort of expert? If it's the latter can anybody on this board recommend somebody equipped to do the work in or near the San Jose area? I would also appreciate any tips/gotchas from anybody that has done something similar before.
Thahks in advance!
Pump replacement - easy or hard?
