Hi-
Finally got my pool water balanced,( except for chlorine that is still low) and it is dark brown. I thought it was iron but it is still brown after being treated with metal free. How long will it take before I see a difference in my pool color? I just got my CYA balanced and chlorine is rising. Could the brown just be dead algea? Help!

Brown water
Dead algae would be gray/cloudy since chlorine would bleach out the green chlorophyll. See Defeating Algae.
