Solor cover bubbles are gone

all the bubles on the solor cover have flattened out called the dealer where i bought it and he said he never heard of that happening then he said sometimes the chlorine gas from the pool water will do it i have a salt water generater and that is what it does changes salt water to chlorine gas i ran this with the cover on and this is what must have done it but not sure does anyone know for sure
