How do I tell if the SWG cell has failed?

How do I tell if the SWG cell has failed?

Postby ColVol » Sat 19 Nov, 2011 23:43

I have a Zodiac Clearwater LM2-24 salt water chlorinator, about 6 years old. The system is failing to produce chlorine, and showing only 2 (of 6) lights in the output indicator. Prior to posting I have super chlorinated the pool (max 2 lights), checked the salt level with Aquacheck test strips (7000ppm), and hit the box with a tree branch (like Basil Fawlty).
How do I tell if the cell has failed, or if the problem is in the control box?

Thanks, Colin

Not answering my own question: replacing the cell has resulted in normal production of chlorine.

I have a zodiak Clearwater system and I just opened my pool. The green led lights won't come on. The red No Flow light stays on as does the orange light in the chlorine output box. Please assist
