instant cloudy water

pool crystal clear at 8pm. pump off at 9pm, pool cloudy 7am. 6 pounds of shock, algaecide and clearifier 24 hours later still slightly cloudy. Any ideas? thanks, george

You're watching it too much- you're pool can't go from incredibly cloudy to crystal clear in 1 day. A 50% improvement in a couple days is good. run your pump 24/7 or you're going backwards until it is clear.
