Dusty water

Postby Yeha0001 » Thu 01 Mar, 2012 06:10

I do not have a pool but I do have a water problem. I am currently pumping out of a bore into a 26000L tank to service 8 bungalows. I have just installed a sand filter on the tank and yet still unsuccessful of taking the dust out of the water. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions whether any other filtration system would work to combine particles together. Thanks

For, Dusty water if you have a sand narrow, do not backwash the filter before vacuuming. Backwashing swirls up the sand and stops good holding of dust for several hours. In DE filtration, this hardly ever happens.
