How deep should I put the pipes in the ground ?

Hi there, I have just started putting together all the elements of my new pool ( a 16ft Doughboy above ground ) and am wondering if there is a minimum,maximum depth for the underground pipework. I live in the south of england so don't get it too cold even in winter
