- My Pool: 15k gallons Hayward DE filter, 1.5 hp pump, with Goldline Salt System/Controls.

Filter Issue-Blast of Dirt to Pool on Start Up
My problem is I get a blast of dirt returning to pool on pump start after the filter and pump sit idle for hours. I have a Hayward DE with new grids since November. Just replaced manifold this week. Could this be a backwash valve problem? Does anyone know what could be causing this?
