Filter cartridge seems to be coated after trying to rid pool

Postby patti » Sun 01 Jul, 2012 09:48

We have been fighting algae since coming back from vacation because of so much rain. We have three separate cartridges that we trade off so that they can be cleaned . Now all three seem to have a coating and they only last a short while before the pressure rises. We have only been cleaning the filters with water, Is there something that we can soak them in to get them back to being usuable.

Hey there

There are many different alkaline based "Cartridge Cleaner" chemicals that you can purchase at local pool product stores. Just ask around

Hope This Helps
