Pool owns my backyard =\

Postby parulb » Sun 25 Jun, 2006 23:11

Good evening!

We seem to have a large issue with our pool and how it seems to have a layer of sludge at the bottom. The sludge at the bottom seems to be a combination of debris from our back-door neighbor kids, plant, and algae reminents.

We have tried vaccuuming, but it is almost ineffective or requires backwashing every 5 or 10 minutes.

We have also tried netting the stuff, but we are concerned about trying to clean up the deep end of the pool.

If anyone has a suggestion or suggestions on how to take back our pool and backyard, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

Vac pool to waste, this will get rid of the grunge and won't wreak your filter

Once again I agree with Pooltech, put water into the pool almost to the top and vacuum the pool to waste to avoid adding the dirt and grime to your filter. Consider a strong shocking of the pool and maybe even a filter cleaning or sand cleaning depending on the type of filter you have.
