For the first time in 15 years, I haven't been able to tame the green cloud in my pool.
TC - over 5.00 ppm
PH - 7.2
TA - over 180 ppm
CYA - below 100 ppm
The weather here has been over 111 degrees for the past two weeks, I shocked it Sunday last week and the green cloud cleared, but Thursday it is back with a vengeance. I have tried shock and liquid chlorine and it's not budging. Earlier this year (June) I tried using an all purpose algaecide from D*pont, which I have never done before, and hasn't seemed to help the green cloud that has been with us all summer.
I just happen to stumbled on to this forum in a google search today and from reading previous postings, my inclination is to either partially drain my pool or try a metal remover? I welcome all helpful comments Thank you!
