Hayward Microprocessor pump timer

Postby TCool » Fri 31 Aug, 2012 12:43

Hi all,

I'm new to owning a pool and could use some help. I'm battling an algae problem the previous owners had let get out of control. I would like my pump to run 24/7 but I'm finding that it keeps turning off during the day. I was suspecting it was going bad and overheating, but the I discovered it has a Hayward pump timer. The manual says when you flip the switch to "program" it should beep a number of times equal to the setting it is on. However, no matter how many times I go through the process to change the setting it simply has one continuous beep.

Is there anyone out there that is familiar with these and knows what that means? I'd rather rule out the timer being the cause of the pump shutting off before replacing the pump. But, I can't seem to figure out what setting it is on.

Thanks in advance for the help.
