Hello. This is my first post on your forum.
I have a question concerning pump sizing.
I manage a large pool that is undergoing renovation. The engineers are suggesting 2, 1,000gpm pumps which, if running continuously, will give me my required 4 turnovers/day. I've been reading a lot about the use of VFD's in pools which will allow for the pumps to run at a lower speed during pool down times and thus saving energy.
In an application like mine the VFD's aren't really an option are they if the pumps being installed are exactly the size to give me my required turnover?
Thanks for any replies that may be forthcoming.
