Pool skimmer flushes?

Ever since I back washed my pool, the skimmer keeps flushing? My filtration systems working fine, but the water goes in the skimmer and then drains. Can anyone help me with this?

Gabe,

The skimmer is draining empty? If it is, check 2 things:

1) Check the water level in the pool. You may need to add some water.

2) If your pool has one, check the door in the front of the skimmer. They can sometimes get stuck and not allow water to flow into the skimmer, causing it to drain.

Thank you! It was the second one. I checked my skimmer door and it was all the way up.

Why would my pool tech put a concrete block in front skimmer opening? ?????
