Very Little Suction while on Waste

Postby BackYard Bohemian » Fri 10 May, 2013 16:27

Okay so we just had to shock the snot out of our pool and then use Super Floc to get the cloudiness out. Problem here is that while vacuuming on Waste to get it all out my suction power is very diminished. When I try to cut out the bottom drain it begins to collect air in the pump. Now I'm not losing complete prime on the pump unless I cut it the bottom drain completely. So what do I need to do? :eh:

If you are collecting air in the pump strainer it will stop the suction. Check for air being pulled in from the strainer lid "O" ring. Try sealing it first with silicone grease or similar and try again
