Husband won't test

Postby Mamak1118 » Sat 08 Jun, 2013 11:20

My husband refuses to buy a test kit. He keeps the water chlorinated and shocks it every now and then. Once in a while he will take a sample to the pool store but otherwise doesn't think it matters. I'm concerned for my family's health but can't explain factually what could happen if the balance is off. I won't go in although my doctor wants me to swim to help my ms. Any ideas how to convince him, or am I worried for no reason?
Thanks

Buy some test strips and test it yourself. That will confirm to yourself whether there is enough chlorine in the pool. They aren't expensive and you may be able to cut down on the chlorine if he is overdosing
