Pool motor not working
pool filter motor isnt working. no sound at all coming from the motor. no hum, no sound at all. problem just started after i took the vacuum hose off the skimmer. motor just lost power. i turned it off and on and it didnt nothing. anyone have any ideas? everything is only about a year old.

Have you checked the obvious things - Breakers, GFI's, things like that? Have you checked inside the pump for any obstructions? If you just finished vacuuming the pool, it's possible something got sucked into the pump and caused it to shut off.
It's odd for a motor to die at 1 year old without making some kind of noise.
On a good note, if the pump is only a year old, the motor might still be under warranty.
