i need some help with opening my pool

in the skimmers do you have to remove any caps and replace them with just a connector for vaccumning

I am a little confused?
Are you opening your pool or vacuuming it?
If you are opening, yes you have to remove caps when you connect your hoses up for the year.
If you are vacuuming, no, there are no caps to remove.
