Can't Blow Out Main Drains

Postby BJL » Sun 28 Sep, 2014 12:02

I have a in ground pool with and attached spa for about 10 years and this is the first year I have attempted to pen and close it myself. I've got everything blown out correctly I believe (using a ShopVac) but I seem unable to blow out the main drains (2 in pool and 1 in spa). I even bought a compressor and hooked it to the pump but I must still be doing something wrong. I tried to follow various online instructions and videos to no avail

I've attempted to attach photos of my equipment and pool/spa but each time I do it blanks my messages. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Can't Blow Out Main Drains

I use a hydro-flush attached to a garden hose.
Remove drain cover and blow from skimmer (or pump, depending on how its plumbed) and blow twards drain. switch and blow from drain to skimmer. Go back and forth. Ive had 100% success with this method..
Best wishes,
