hi i have to re roof a conservatory giving me two 8m by 4m triple wall 16mm polycarbonate sheets spare , these i would like to make a solar gain cover over my 21ft round above ground pool.but i am a bit worried that as there will be only a 8 inch air gap between the water surface and the bottom of the sheets the air temp my raise so high i damage the liner anybody tried this or can advise or had unfortunate experiances with liner degrigation due to high temps..

Good quality above ground pool liners can safely be used with water up to 28 degrees C. Higher temperatures will shorten the lifespan of the liner.

What is the anticipated temperature of the water under the polycarbonate sheets?
