Pool cleaner stuck

Hello, thanks ahead of time

I have a 4 wheel poolervergeneun "the pool cleaner" attached to my skimmer line. It was working well for years.

Now it will barely move when released. There are no obstructions inside and when lifted off the floor everything works perfectly, wheels move at ~15 RPM. All the gears seem to work perfectly when tested manually with my hands and the wheels spin freely. turbines are moving as expected.

Had the filter cleaned and borrowed a friends hayward vac ultra pool cleaner which seems to work well, even going up the walls so I suspect its not a pressure issue

Does anyone have any ideas what this may be
