replacement pump

Okay had to replace Hayward superpump AO smith self priming pump which i loved. Pool company replaced with US motors 1081 pump pool motor model C55CXKMB-5012 is this the same pump, capacity wise? Can someone confirm? . I am concerned because this new pump takes an extremely long time to get it going. The old Hayward, all we did is turn the pool on, made sure skimmer basket has water and we were good. After new motor was installed=it takes more than 20 minutes to start the pool which is frustrating. Any help is appreciated=thanks
