Postby echobravo » Wed 13 Jul, 2016 11:46

hello all
does anyone or has anyone ever had problems with fine dirt atcthe bottom of their pool after using shock n swim or chlorinate granules?

every time i maintenence the pool and i add shock n swim or chlorinated granules i end up getting fine grains of dirt that sit at the bottom of my pool and my filter ends up being dirty to the point i have to change it.
i have a small inetex pool 12ft x 48in

do i have bad chemicals?
or expired?

Try adding a flocculant to the water
I have never heard of chemicals expiring other than Liquid Chlorine (Sodium Hypochlorite)which loses it's strength over time

I used to get a grey matter covering the pool floor and it was a pain to get rid of, I put it down to the fact that a lot of these pool chemicals contain insoluble materials, since changing to the BBB method, I get none of these problems. Now, I am not suggesting that you change to this method but 'it works for me'
