I am a diabetic and have bad eyes. I have a 14 x 3.6 above ground pool. I am using test strips because I was lucky to get them in my town. We have no pool places close.
From what I can see,
Total Hardness is at 1000
Free chlorine is about 1/2
ph is 8.4
Total Alkalinity is at 240
Cyanuric Acid is between 0 and 30-50
What should I add to get the water in good condition?
I have 1" chlorine tablets and a dispenser that floats in the pool.
I also have the chlorine granules, stabalizer, shock treatment, ph plus and ph minus.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am running the pump about 3 hours in the evening. It is extremely hot here. I am the one that swims in it mostly but once in a while my 2 grandkids swim. The pool is used at least once a day for a couple of hours and mostly in the evening. Not a lot of sunscreen in the pool but some. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help.
Filmy water and can't see small print on test strips
