no free chlorine - can i swim?

Postby nurvanna » Thu 20 Jul, 2006 22:05

yesterday i took a water sample into shasta pools service center. they suggested that i add 1 pt. of acid.
i tested the water early this afternoon - low total chlorine(don't remember free chlorine). i added 3 disks.
now roughly 4 hrs. later everything is fine except for free chlorine(reads as "0").
is it alright to swim or should i wait until tomorrow afternoon?
thanks for your assistance.

You have to have some free chlorine in the watre for it to be safe.
