Above ground pool settling right away-- big trouble?

Postby dkalweit » Tue 25 Jul, 2006 10:00

Hi. I'm freaking out. My Dad and I just installed a new 24', 54" pool this weekend(self-install), and now that there's water in it, one side is very much lower than the other-- by about 3-4" it looks. It looks like the ground settled on that side. We're both thinking this could be a big problem, and we're pissed at ourselves for letting it happen-- should we drain right away to prevent damage? Can we wait until September when closing the pool? Are we screwed either way? We installed a center drain and the skimmer, so the liner is cut-- will we need a new liner? Re-dig? We're thinking if we drain and then dig under the posts on the high side, that it should adjust-- but is this not a good idea? Will it not work? Any thoughts? Thanks.
