pool cleaner help

I just purchased a zippy pool vaucum for above ground pool. It say's to put the adapter into my wall inlet . I have a light in the inlet. Can I still hook up the kind of vaucum to my pool. I did have the ladybug cleaner and that went straight to my pump. Any help will do. Should I just return it.

The Zippy needs to be connected to the outlet not the inlet. It works on the return line pressure.
