Problems with DE filters

Postby pokerdawg41 » Wed 30 Aug, 2006 23:06

I have a 150K gallon pool with DE filters. Inside the filter screens is a yellow substance. Is this mustard alge? If so how do I kill it?

Algea needs sunlight to grow so it's not mustard algae in your filter. You should remove the filter screens and give them an acid wash, then reload with DE and see if you have an improvement.
