staining in my pool

Postby pascal » Sun 03 Sep, 2006 12:20

I have a fibreglass pool and I use a product called "stain free" to remove the staining from my pool .
I follow the steps and every thing was perfect but after may be 2 weeks the staining come back again .
I tryed 3 times and always it is the same.

What should I have to do ?

The level of the cholrine is almost 0 in the morning and may be 1 in the afternoon (this is very low)

Thanks.

Pascal.

It is highly probable that you have copper in the water, COpper can enter the pool from many soures but the most common being removed from your heater due to acidic water conditions. You need to get the water tested for copper and then remove the metal. If the level is very high than a partial drain may be the most economical solution and treat the remaining water for copper. A sequstering agent will tie up the metals. A chemical filter cleaning will remove the copper that likely resides in you filter sand (if you have a sand filter) Fell free to PM me any questions.
