How Long to run pump?

Hello all!

I live in San Antonio, TX and will be closing my pool in the near future. I will be putting a cover on it until I open it in the Spring. I also plan to let my pump run at shorter times during the winter to continue to filter and generate chlorine in the water.

I would like to get feedback on how long and what times I should set the timer for to run the pump. Should I run it during the day and night or just the day?
