Pink stains in pool after cutting trees..

Postby jeanft » Fri 17 Nov, 2006 22:35

Hi
Oaktrees and a pinetree were removed from the pool area today. Branches and sawdust ended up in water...
Pink stains are on the pool ganite now. Impossible to remove with a brush, Vitamic C...
Should I add chlorine? ( shock the pool )..it's a salt system
Thanks
JF

Sawdust and leaf litter and the like are organic.

To remove these you want to add chlorine. Try shocking the pool with Liquid Chlorine to about 10 mg/l for 24 hours and see if the pink stain lifts.

Your salt system produces a chlorine similar to liquid chlorine so this should be okay.

If this doesn't work let me know, there is another method we can try.
