Which New Solar cover

Postby Alemi » Wed 11 Apr, 2007 19:37

I am looking to purchase a new solar cover for my inground pool and am researching for the best option. I have had in the past a light blue cover and a clear cover. I was wondering if the dark blue, black or blue and aluminum covers are any better at keeping the water warm then the less expensive clear and light blue covers. Also does the mil thickness really make a difference?
The last cover I had was clear and it barely lasted 2 years, I was not at all happy with that one.

Wanting most efficient and long lasting solar coverage.
Thanks - Alemi

Alemi,

I came on this forum looking for exactly the same information.
I don't have a solar cover yet.
You stated your cover was clear and barely two years old.
What thickness was it?
I'll try to find out more information and get back to you for what it's worth.
