Pool Pump Timer

Postby Tmelsh » Sun 04 Mar, 2007 08:18

Does anyone know anything about pump timers? My timer sticks when it reaches the "on" time marker. It has never done this before, but I have recently turned the breaker off and on. I reset the time on the timer (did not unscrew anything) and the lever will not switch to "on" automatically at all. Probably something simple, but any help is appreciated.

timer problem

Make sure the tripper is set so that it's back edge is up against face of timer and that it's tightened down all the way. If this doesn't work, try a new tripper. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestion. I took the thing apart and couldn't find anything wrong - no stripped gears, etc. I wound up buying a new timer for about $60, not too bad. But at least it works now!
