Electric Pool Cover

I have an electric pool cover insatlled by pool covers inc. I had the motor replaced last year and not the pool cover will close but not open to cover the pool. The motor makes a noise when its opening but does not make a sound when i try to cover the pool. Any advice on what it could be?
