Best inground pool vacuum

Postby vstar » Tue 24 Apr, 2007 22:36

Hi Folks

I am brand new to this forum, this is my first post

I have moved into a home with an inground pool and I am wondering what vacuum I should buy.

I am talking about the mid priced ones such as kreepy krauler, hayward, barracuda and the like.

I have done some research but I thought it would be wise to get comments from first hand users.

The pool is Vinyl, 18' x 36' irregular shape, entry steps in the shallow end, 8' deep, 3' shallow, with bottom drain.

Ant comments would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Pat

P.S.
I'm sure I will have more questions in the future

The only thing I can speak from is experience. I have a hayward Phantom and it is great. It cleans the bottom, side and the top of the water. I let it run about 4 hours while during the day and it gets everything that may have gotten in the pool.

For the money you can't beat the Polaris 380, IMO best all around cleaner. I might do the Pentair Legend as a runner up?
