Automation System

I want to automate my in ground pool and was wondering if anyone can give me some info on how to go about it. My contractor wants $2300.00 for a 4 function system. That seems a little high to me. I see 8 function systems for a fraction of that. What manufacturers should I be lookin at? My system is Hayward. Do I have to use Aqualogic? My pool is in the pre-plaster stage and I am kinda in a hurry to get this figured out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
