Filter flow isn't strong....

Postby Mrs.Duck » Tue 08 May, 2007 20:31

WE have an 18 foot above ground. We opened it last week and finally getting the water to a point of a cloudy blue but can see the bottom.
Now the filter flow isn't that strong.
Last year it was strong enough that it created a little whirlpool in the skimmer. Now its just barely moving. But the out jet the flow is not too bad.

The hose from the skimmer to the pump unit leaks to the point its almost a constant stream. So I definitly have to replace that. Is it possible that is causing the low flow?

Me without a pool, is like a duck out of water.

Whilst this may be a stupid question, have you cleaned the filter?

Your probably sucking air through that leaky hose. Get it replaced soon.
