Dirt returning to pool when Vacuuming through skimmer

I have a Blue Haven pool (salt pool), three years old. Last week I was vacuuming out my pool like I have done for the last three years yet this time the dirt was returning to the pool through the the valve that operates the creepy crawler cleaner deal that swims around the pool like a sting ray. what is causing this? Cleaned the filters two weeks ago and the pressure gauges are all within the standard limits. however, after using the vacuum the pressure gauges go up and the steady waterfall becomes a little more than a drip.

What type of filter is it, DE or a cartridge? DE--- are there in torn grids, lateral (mainfold) , bleed sock?
