Hi Im stumped, I have been cleaning a salt water pool for a year now no problems, ph 7.2 it is covered and the Cl is stable at arround 1.5.
in the last 2 weeks i have got brown stains appering on the bottom and brown turning to black on the side in a few places, it is spreading, the solidity of the salt is 5300 so the main readings are ok. i have tried removing the metal and black algie remover but no change. HELP. Chris
A local pool shop said maby water behind the liner so mould is growing through i can rub it with my hand it douse not feel any diffrent and douse not move.

Is this a liner or fiberglass or concrete finish pool?

Liner pools do get darker patches if something is growing behind the liner. If you can't seem to move it and the area is slowly growing, it does suggest it is behind the liner and not a lot can be done.
