Main Drain Clog

We are trying to drain our pool to paint it and the water will not drain. I have run a 20' snake from the pool end and there is no clog. I then cut the pvc pipe running to the pump and ran the 20' snake at that end. Again, no clog. No water is running from the pool main drain to the filter. Is there another way to fix this? I am imagining the the clog is somewhere between the 20' on each end. Please help.

We seem to have the exact same problem. I was hoping someone would answer. Did you get the problem resolved and if so how?
