Robotic Pool Cleaners

Postby cjsolar » Sat 19 May, 2007 15:36

I am a semi new pool owner. I have an inground liner pool and am looking for a robotic pool cleaner. There are no steps in the pool, just ladders. One in the shallow end and one in the deep end. It is a grecian style, 16x 36 pool. I have been leaning towards the Dolphin Diagnostic, but have heard a few good comments about the Tigershark. Any comments would be appreciated.

I've heard too many problems with the Dolphins so I steered clear of that one. Also, I have heard that Dolphins can be very hard on vinyl pools.

Look for one with PVA roller/brushes instead of the rubber ones.
Blue Diamond, Blue Pearl, Aquabot Bravo, Aquabot Viva are a few I know.

tigershark is good. the good thing about this product is that it is available on two styles: STANDARD and QUICK CLEAN. Standard cleaning takes 4 hours for the robot to clean the entire pool. on the other hand, Quick cleaning only does 90 minutes before shutting down however this may not provide utmost performance. into the bargain, this cleaner is an and you have to keep on cleaning its filter for optimal performance.

No! By manual cleaning you save a lot of money purchasing, you won't miss bits, robots always do, that's why some come with a remote so you can steer. Had several models over the years Polaris, AquaBot, Barracuda and sold them, now done with either manual vacuum hose into the skimmer using skimmer sock or Pool Blaster Max with fine silt bag.
